Victor Pierre Horta, a Beligian architect was the first to apply Art Nouveau to architecture from the decorative arts. His influence was especially well known in  European Art Nouveau architect. One of his most notable works was the construction of his Hotel Tassel in Brussels. The building used profound materials and decoration. It was incredibly innovative at its time.
